Project Description
Vatutinky Guest Lodge
Set in the extensive grounds of an existing house, our client’s requirement was to create a guest lodge/ house that is to be used not only as living accommodation for private guests and family, but can also function as an entertainment area for the guests and family.
Petrovskiye Spa House
Set within 10 hectares of remote birch forest and utilising nine metre-long Russian larch logs, the log building is constructed with eco-friendly and sustainable technology.
Within the Petrosvkiye Sady estate our client required a Spa House to combine the traditional rituals of the Russian sauna (banya) and ancilliary activities with contemporary finishes and M&E solutions.
The larch logs were shipped from Siberia to be site treated and prepared for construction by skilled Russian craftsmen specialised in the handcrafted log technique. The interior design of these houses was implemented throughout the construction phase with the main challenge being to blend and achieve a balance between the contemporary style of a modern home and the traditional style of a Russian log house.
